A Disappointing Dinner for $70
I have been disappointed by restaurants before and once or twice even thought to write a negative review, but of course never actually got around to it because who could be bothered? Well, now I am bothered enough, and still hungry enough, to write a negative restaurant review.
The restaurant: Bella Cosi Modern Italian Restaurant

To be fair I ate one of the breadsticks, but only after staring in horror for an appropriate length of time with the people who I had planned to enjoy dinner with. I had the only reasonably-portioned food – spaghetti, which I ate while the other two rued their menu choice. The spaghetti was nothing to write home about – cheap supermarket pasta, standard sauce. I could knock the same thing up for half the price. Leave a comment if you are interested. The last item may be a bit less than $28 – there is confusion with the restaurant unsure of which menus on their website are genuine and up to date, like they have to perform some arcane ritual through a third party wizard to manipulate their website. This last item was provided by the restaurant by way of saying sorry after my brother complained and went back. He was a bit cocky on the phone so maybe it’s meant to be an insult and does not represent the usual value-for-money of their $28 quail dish.
But I doubt it.
So now it’s 9.30 PM and everyone is hungry, my wife is pissed at me and my wallet is $70 lighter. What a waste of money. Just earlier today I cut down a reasonable-sized tree for little over $70 dollars.
